I had the pleasure this last Thursday of attending the grand opening of south Florida’s newest hot spot for fine art, Foundation Fine Art—a gallery featuring some of the local art scene’s most amazing talents!! Art Director, Robin Tortorici, has done an absolutely stellar job converting what was once a medical facility into an exquisite exhibit space. She features strong and diverse local artists whose work takes you on an imaginative journey through their collections of photography, sculpture, and paint. Treat yourself to a fresh art experience at Foundation! Contact Robin by phone (561-314-9523) or via email (robin@foundationartservices.com). April Anselona is a mega-talented and driven local artist with some great advice on how to make the dream come alive! In this podcast, she talks about marching to the beat of her own artistic drum since she was little, finding direction with a fashion-centered class in high school, and developing her art style over time. She has even coined her own term, “Fashion Fusion,” to describe her style of pop-art-meets-fashion. April shares GREAT tips in our conversation about branding her art—a very important concept for any artist looking to make a living. And, her entrepreneurial, go-getter spirit has been the other half of what keeps propelling her talents forward. You will simply learn a lot and be quite inspired by this incredible artist!! Be sure to follow April on social media! April has also been an integral part in helping organize the artists featured in the grand opening of a new south Florida gallery, Foundation Fine Art! Come to the gallery on Thursday, January 14th, and be treated to eclectic art and captivating conversations with the artists themselves!! Be sure to follow Foundation Fine Art on social media, too! This episode of Curve the Cube is sponsored by Sol Experiences—the Florida events company to enhance your SOLcial life! Curve the Cube’s producer, Jaime, has personally been on a Palm Beach Gardens pub crawl and party-limo driven day trip to Key West that were both SUPER fun!!! I first met Tori Lynn backstage at WRMF’s No Snow Ball, where she and I geeked out together over seeing Adam Lambert walk down the hall toward us, and the rest was history! So, when I asked her to be on my podcast, I could think of no better place to record than in the shadows of where we met: outside of the Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca. A naturally-gifted singer and performance artist, Tori Lynn won her shot at opening for Adam Lambert and Third Eye Blind at No Snow Ball by winning WRMF’s Dirty Voice Contest. From early releases like "Labyrinth of Love" and "Nobody but Me" to her latest tracks, including “Mama Said,” “Young and Free,” and “Fading Lightz,” Tori Lynn has garnered an incredible following. And, she has great affection for her fans! Her motivation is spreading positivity and inspiration, along with raising awareness for an incurable disease that has affected her family: Cystinosis. Please visit Cystinosis.org to help support her cause! A triple threat of singing, dancing, and acting, Tori Lynn is an absolute show-stopper! Connect with her at iamtorilynn.com and watch out for her upcoming college tour. And, of course, be sure to follow her all over social media: This episode of Curve the Cube is sponsored by the Pizza Girls—West Palm Beach’s Top Spot for Authentic NY Pizza—from episode #17!!! They are located right in the heart of downtown, by the fountains where Clematis meets Flagler. Go in and have a slice! Or, order from them online, and they will give you 10% off of your first order. Don’t forget to follow them on social media and to keep an eye out for their food truck for delicious “Slices & Ices”!! Enjoy!!
